I am a 6th generation decendant of Friedrich Wilhem Baartz (1805-1866) & his wife Karoline (Wojahn) Baartz (1815-1877).
I am hoping to learn if there are any living decendants residing in Poland.
Friedrich was the son of Christian Baartz and Annie Mary Luck.
Karoline was the daughter of Christopher Wojahn and Harriet Weiss.
Friedrich & Karoline Baartz and their nine children left Wittkow (now Witankowo), in the district of Deutsch Krone, Marienwerder, and emigrated to Australia on the ‘Cesar Godeffroy’ ship, arriving in Australia on 28 Jan 1862.
We also know that they lived with Friedrich’s sister who married a man with surname Achtenberg on an estate called Probstgut. They also moved to a Rohrwiese to live before moving to Wittkow.
I would like to know if addresses of where they lived could be obtained so that if I am able to visit Poland that I could see these historical places.
I hope you can assist me.
