My husbands Grandmother Maria Danelenko (spelling may not be accurate), lived with her husband (Andreas Zyznik) & three children Maria, Michael & Wasili in Baranovichi, Poland (now Belarus) at the outbreak of World War II. Her son Michael Zyznik was separated from the rest of the family, survived the war, married in The Netherlands & emigrated to Australia in 1965. He did not see any of his family again.
We believe that Maria Danelenko may have been born or her parents were, in Lithuania. My husband has many DNA Matches in Lithuania, but none have led to finding any records of his grandmother (or the rest of the Zyznik Family refer Quest 1).
He would love to know something about his family in Lithuania.
