Finding out what happened to my Busia’s (Great Grandmother’s) history, and seeing who the real Agata Czeluszvich, Agnes Celusniak, or (Agnes Moranda, Celusniak, Chisniak, Agabba Zelusniak). Her husband is Paul Moranda (Morajda), who I was able to research, and go pretty far into the history of easily as he was from Grylow and the records were there. She wrote on her form that she was born in Pilnro, Poland in Februrary 12, 1891, and listed her name spelling differently on almost every single government document she had over her life. Agnes said she emigrated in 1908 on the 1930 census, and that she emigrated in 1910 on the 1920 census. She married Paul Morajda in Chicago in August 28, 1911 with the name Agnes Czelirsnrak. She becomes Agnes Morajda on the birth Certificates of all her kids, and her life in Chicago goes all the way to 1987 and she remarried a man name Chaluinke at some point. I have been looking for her birth certificate for the Roman Diocese in Tarnow and surrounding places and trying to get something more concrete. I suspect that because that her family ended up there because of religious reasons or involvement in the various skirmishes (Galician Slaughter) and similar Poznan incident. The goal is just to get some kind of record to look further into and be able to find out if there is a reason she did not want her own daughter to speak Polish. Or that she went by so many different names, and makes me wonder if she was adopted or was fleeing.
