Hello,
I’m looking for information on the Fracz family near Krakow. I’d especially love to learn if any relatives are still living. My grandfather (Stanislaus Fracz) was born near Krakow on May 2, 1926. He told us that when the Germans started taking boys to dig trenches (when he was around 12) his family had him run away from home. He never saw them again and didn’t know if any of them survived the war. His father’s name was Francis and mother’s name was Rose (or some variation of those names), and he had a sister they called Janka. I’ve found several entries in the baptism records for various people named Stanislaus and Franciscus in and around Dabrowa county (specifically Radgoszcz and Gruszow Wielki), and thought that could be the area they’re from, if those names run in the family. I already have looked extensively on the Arolsen Archives, and what is available on FamilySearch, and found a couple things on my grandfather, but nothing about his family.
If you have any information or ideas where to look, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you!
