Franciszek Lubicz-Nawrocki (aka Nawrocki) was born in 1872 and died in October, 1937. His place of birth is unknown but by about 1900 he moved to Zagłębie Donieckie (The Donets Basin) where he owned coal mines as well as a factory near Kharkov in the Tsarist Empire.
After the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, he and his family moved to Warsaw, Poland.
