I am currently building a family tree and researching my husband’s side of the family. His Grandfather, Stanislaw Laszczyk, was born in Brzączowice – DOB 11 June 1924. When he was around 15 years old, Stanislaw was forced from his homeland by Germans and used as forced labour on German farms. He met and married my husband’s Grandmother, Lidia Nossik, who was from Ukraine (and could speak several languages, including Polish). They spent time together in the Seedorf camp in Germany, and had their first child there. The family then emigrated to Australia in 1949 from Naples to Newcastle. My husband was very close to his Grandfather growing up and I’d love to find more information about Stanislaw – especially his parents and if there was any other family. Stanislaw was a devout Roman Catholic so I am hoping there might be some baptism records. Thank you.
