I have not been able to find any info on my great grandparents before they immigrated to America. Adolph immigrated March 31 1909.I do have a letter written in russian from his brother named Peter Siwitski and wife Emelia. He also might have a sister Martha. His marriage record from Northampton Ma has his father as John Siwicki and mother as Julianna Sczuka.his passenger list just says hes from Wilno. He came by himself. And all there census records just say either Poland or Poland Russia or just Russia. Josephine also immigrated in 1906. they where married October 22, 1906 in Northampton ma. I think they new each other before immigrating. Josephin or Josefa was sponosred by the Szadlowskis to work on there potato farm. Her parents on there marriage certificate are Stanislaw Kowaleka and Maryanna Marboricz could be warboricz it is hard to tell. josephine had 2 sisters and 2 brothers Blanch, Stanly and Sophia all came to America . Before or after Josephine i do not know. The last brother Walter did not.I have a cemetary plot reciept it has josephine listed as Josefa Siwicka and Josepha Kowalski Siwizki. At some point before they had children they started spelling the last name Siwizki. Adolph served in the russian army and the family had a farm .The story passed down was that they supplied horses to the russian army. My dad remembers that whenever he walked the streets in Turners Falls Ma. everyone he walked by would bow to him. Any help would be appriciated Thank you.
