The notes I have in my tree are that he was possibly from Rosary-village in the district of Gmina Braniewo, within Braniewo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia. Before 1772-part of Poland. 1772-1945-part of Prussia and Germany.
He was my great grandfather, born around 3 Apr 1886 and most records in the US have his first name as George but early records have his name as Albert. I was told by my aunt that his mother’s name was Regina. He came to the US around 1911 according to US census records but I have been unsuccessful in finding his arrival records or the port he came into. I do know he had a sister who also came to the US and settled in Queens, NYC, NY so I am thinking they may have come through Ellis Island in New York. I do not know if they came together or if there is any other family that came over with them or if they left siblings and relatives behind. I was told second hand that his mother Regina died around the age of 58 in Poland but that is all the information I have on them. I am hoping you can help me in my quest to find out more about my family roots and help me uncover any geneaological records on him and his family.
