My biological grand mother was this lady. She somehow got to Canada and in 1914 married a man named John Damm who came from Lemberg, Austria? Poland ? She was 19 when she married. I can only guess how she got to Canada, perhaps via the U.S.A.?? I suspect she may have traveled with this man??? On the 1916 population census taken in Regina Saskatchewan her husband John Damm told the interviewer that his racial tribal origins were German , and his nationality was Austrian. His birthplace was Galicia, and he immigrated in 1912. I have managed to find a record of a Mrs. Mary Burger crossing the USA/Canadian border on April 26/8?, 19010. I am not sure that they are in the same??? John Damn’s father was Jacob Damm, and his mother Ratrena Tuzel
