I’d like to know which concentration camps my mother-in-law’s family were at as well as find any other family members who were not killed. Her family names are Simonowitz (her grandmother’s maiden name) and her grandfather was Mohl. Her mother Mohl married Phillip Sommer.
Here is what my mother-in-law shared: My mother’s family except for one of her nephews was murdered. I met him once when I was younger than five, He came to see from Toronto and I did not have any contact after that. My mother’s maiden name was Mohl and my grandmother was Simonowitz. My father had several surviving sibs. My maiden name was Sommer and his mother was a Wagner before marriage. There are Wagners I believe in New York still like Harvey Wagner a cousin I have an uncle who got away to Israel in the 30’s. He has a son mordechai Sommer who lives I believe in Israel (if still alive) very fractured destroyed family the savageries of war with all the attendant hatred.
I’ve found that her mother emigrated from Danzig, Poland according to naturalization papers. Boarded SS Laconia in Liverpool.in 1925 with no other family names accompanying her. She want to meet her husband Phillip Sommer in NYC.
