Poznak/Pozniak family search in Plock 2. In Progress
Hello! I have a document that has “John Poznak” (my great-grandfather) arriving in America on June 3, 1893. On the document he calls Plock his place of residence, so I figured I would start my search there. To make it a little bit confusing, once in America, he went by Pozniak, Poznak, and Pozniakowski. According to documents in the US, his parents were “John Pozniakowski” and “Teofila Duba”. I’ve been told that he added the “-owski” to his name in America in order to seem “more royal”, so I don’t know if that will show up in documents in Poland. I would love any help finding any documents that seem like it might be the same guy!
