I am trying to track down my family history which I know includes a famous Rabbi in Lublin. My Great Grandfather Solomon Rabonovitz was born in Lublin I believe on February 16, 1886. His father was named Israel Rubin also from Lublin. Israel’s father or Grand Father was born between 1750-1770 and was a famous Rabbi in Lublin and am told he is buried in the well known Jewish Sematary there. He was called the great Izena Kup – no idea if that is spelled correctly or not.
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide on my family

I found out some additional information that may help. My great grandfather Solomon Rubin I believe was born Solomon Rabinovitz in Lublin in 1887 and emigrated to the US in 1903. His wife was Bertha and her last name may have been Gleckman, I believe she came from Lublin as well. Solomon’s father I believe was Izrael Rabinovitz. Not sure of Solomom’s mother’s name. We know we have a famous Rabbi in the family and I believe he is Izrael’s grandfather and is name was Rabbi Azriel HaLevi Horowitz, A.B.D. Kraśnik and Lublin – ‘Der Eizener Kop’. He is buried in the famous Jewish semetary there. A link for him is below. Anything you can help to fill in on Solomon’s life and the gap between him and the Rabbi would be very much appreciated. Thank you
