What my family has been told: My great grandmother, Valeria Socha was born on May 6, 1889 in Poland. She emigrated to the United States, by herself, when she was 17. I have been unable to find a single record of her or her family. I have found a Walerya Socha that emigrated in April of 1909 (age 19) from Czekaj Galicia. I have done a DNA test and it strongly indicates a connection to the specific area of, what was formerly known has Czekaj Galicia. Any help would be appreciated.
