tracing grandparents’ history in poland… zmijewski and piotrowski 1. Open

i am wondering what i can find out about the Polish history of both sets of grandparents… Zmijewski and Piotrowski. i happened upon this site by accident and am very excited but unprepared at the moment. i will try to cull whatever information i have that may help the search! thank you!!!! grandfather name> Aleksander Zmijewski, Grupa Poland, arrived in USA august 17th 1922, ship name Latvia from Danzig.
