Hello I am looking for information on my grandmother; Wladyslawa Dryja whom we believed was born in Radomsko Poland May 25, 1919. I have found her Warsaw work license (I know it is her by her picture) that states her name is Vladislava Drya born May 25, 1916. Her gravestone also states 1916 but my fathers birth certificate and marriage license says May 25, 1919. My uncles believe that her fathers name was Stanislaw Dryja (my research doesn’t support a Stanislaw Dryja being in Poland at the time she was born. Her mother’s name was also believed to be Fama Sobierjow. I am not able to find ANYthing with that name. The only thing I can come up with is potentially a spelling of Zbroja but nothing with Fama being the first name.
The work license says that she was born in Weidendorf but lived in Rodomsko. She knew little English so when she immigrated to the US in 1949 little was known about her. She was misplaced during WWII and was a prisoner of war that lived in a DP Camp in Ludwigsburg, Schorndorferstr. 97 Germany. She was Roman Catholic.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
