Searching for ancestors in Poland. All I know is that my paternal grandfather came through Ellis Island, NY from a small town, Demsk, Poland (which doesn’t exist today and may have been overtaken by the Russian War). My great grandfather in Poland was a landowner (a Pan) and he had 3 (?) sons. The oldest one would be his heir and the two other boys were given money to come to America to make their fortunes. I believe my grandfather, Walter S. Zuleski and granduncle Julius Zuleski were the two sons that traveled to America. He settled in OH and married a Polish American Veronica Ćwiklińska. I never met my grandfather but would love to link him to my American family tree. I think my grandmother later added a “W” to our surname making it Zulewski and later my dad changed his last name to Craig while an athlete in college. My family tree is minimal but you can find me on FamilySearch.org or Ancestory.com as Brannon C Craig and my father, Walter P. Craig aka Zule(w)ski. My father was born in 1929 but I know no dates later than that for my Zuleski ancestors.
