I’m a middle aged lady, 50+, I researched my family tree and I’d love to help others do the same. I’m finishing a course to become a Warsaw city guide. I love history.
Hello Jolanta, My name is Kathy Pelusi and I am from the USA. I recently joined this site. I am trying to trace my Polish ancestors. My grandmother came to the US when she was a baby. Her name is Paulina Helena Luks. She was born in 1910. the only record I have is a baptism record from Sniatyn. Her father was Leopold Luks and he was born on March 26, 1876. He was married to Anna. I have some records that show her maiden name as Klein. I also know that Leopold’s father was Ferdinand. I am hoping to find more information on my Polish ancestors. Is this something that you could help me with? I would very much appreciate it. Thank you, Kathy
Good morning I am very pleased that you contacted me. I see that you know quite a lot about your ancestors. I do not know if you also know that Śniadyń is now on the territory of Ukraine, not Poland. Before World War II, it was the territory of Poland. I’ll speak in a few days, maybe I can fix something
I found pictures of Snirad in times when your grandmother was born Regards Jola
I need help in getting more information on my maternal great-grandparents. On the Gajda side, the only information I have is: Szymon (Seymon) Gajda was born in Pstragowa, Poland possibly some time in the mid-1800’s. He married Katarzyna Prokop.
Also, Marcin Prucnal born in Medynia, Poland also probably in the mid-1800’s and died about 1932 in Medynia. He married Katarzyna Kot (or Koet) in Medynia.
I’d truly appreciate any more information you could find on any of them, as well as their own parents, grandparents, etc.
Hello Jolanta, my name is Derek J Holak and I live here in Texas, USA. I am wanting to find out information about my grandparents, Samuel Malstalski and his wife Sofia Niezgoda. Samuel’s namecould be written Sam or Simon Mastalsky as well. Sam was born in the year of 1874, back then Austria, and migratted to America in the year of 1901. He sailed on the Hamburg Graff Waldersee. I am tryining to find out as much information as I can about him and his wife, and also both of their parents, children etc. Looks as if Sophia was born in Kraków, Malopolskie, Poland, so it could be that Samuel may have been born in the same area. If you can help in anyway, it would be appreciated!!
Hello, I’m looking for the birth certificate of Simcha Seweryn Bonem Krysztal who is part of my family . He was born most likely in 1813 in Wyszkow or in the area around it. I approached two national archives that have records of the Wyszkow area but got a negative answer. This is starnge as I have other scans of his brothers and sisters. Can you help please?
